Grits are bad for men
BOUTTE, La. A 44-year-old woman was booked with second-degree battery after allegedly pouring a pot of boiling grits onto her sleeping boyfriend. St. Charles Parish sheriff’s deputies said Carolyn Brown caused second-degree burns on the man’s face and arms. The man told deputies that he came home from work on Nov. 7, got into an argument with Brown, told her that he was breaking up with her, then went to bed.

Maybe she didn’t have a firearm available and just used the first thing available as a weapon, eh?
I publish these stories not to make fun of the people involved, but to make fun of the gun control advocates. Time and Time again we see instances of violence that have nothing to do with firearms, yet we seldom see gun banners pushing for grits control (talk about another north/south conflict arising if they tried!).
So, why don’t we see call for control over food products? Because it isn’t about the food or the gun; it is about control.
Gun control advocates want to disarm people, law abiding people. It is that simple. Not one gun control advocate has been able to convince me otherwise.
Not one proposal I’ve seen floated effects the criminals more then it affects the law abiding. NOT ONE.
We shouldn’t have to pay exorbitant fees to protect to be able to protect ourselves while in public. (Concealed Carry laws)
We shouldn’t have to pay fees in order to exercise our rights. (purchase permits)
We shouldn’t have city or state goverments telling people they can not own effective means of defending themselves. (gun bans)
Criminals will break the law, that is what they do. Those that make it easier or safer for criminals to break the law are abetting them in that effort.
The government can not provide 24 hour, 7 day a week, 52 weeks a year, life time protect to each and every person. Even when they provide that type of protection, they aren’t perfect.
If the government can not insure the president’s security isn’t breached, why on God’s green earth should anyone be trying to add one single additional barrier to people’s efforts to protect themselves?
