Rob Russell – muscian and amateur magician

Seems Rob Russell has another career he hasn’t told anyone about – Magician.

Yep.. His post thanking the “trolls” who disagreed with his wife — POOF, gone.

Yep, his post explaining how he rolls — POOF, gone.

You remember that post, the one where he was admitting to threatening me

In several of my comments, I made derogatory remarks directed at the trolls. I said some nasty stuff. Some colorful language was used. I stand by that language. I also stand by my offer to face them one on one and punch these idiots in their faces. That’s how I roll.

Yep, seems like he may be rolling the other way. Luckily Linoge also has a hidden talent – he can foresee the future and preserved many of Rob’s comments for prosperity.

Just a question — if he did nothing wrong; either legally or even morally, why take down the posts? Why delete were the threats deleted from his wife’s site?

So once again Rob Russell is keeping it classy – not by apologizing for over reacting, not by apologizing for threatening people….nope he’s staying classy by trying to cover it up.

Update–

Looks like Southern Female Lawyer is Rob Russell’s assistant in his magic act.

So far as I can tell every post dealing with this issue has been removed from her site.  Again — if they did nothing wrong, why pull down the posts?

    Damn, you Scooped me, Bob!

Great post. I just noticed that and was going to break the story on my break. You got me! Great work.

FYI, I’m building a link farm on the bottom of my page for screen cap URLs, if you have any or know somebody who has them, please have them comment on my post!

And I suggest you copy them too. They want it to disappear, I’d rather it not.

When I lived closer to town before I got sick I used to drive in and spend some time around here because it was fun and I like to fight on both a primal and intellectual level and don’t mind getting hit.

    http://www.lordsboxing.com/

Was a good anger outlet when I tried to work a desk job in one of those things called an “office.” I’m not great but nobody ever murdered me either. I’d like to think I’m significantly better at it than people that didn’t spend a lot of their life fighting because of the circumstances they grew up and just plain enjoying fighting and hung around boxing gyms a bit.

Think he has any money? I’ve got gloves and we can hire a ref…

I could teach him that you look foolish pretending to be nine feet tall and bulletproof on the internet if you have political aspirations and people know who you are.

I really hate the lame phrase but “that’s how I personally roll.

If he won’t meet me at the gym, how about my sister? She’s only 5’2 and maybe weighs 110 but she has a 3rd degree black belt in Akido and teaches in the Austin area. Maybe we need to make a TN road trip? Of course, sis is a Democrat so she wouldn’t condone violence towards one of her voting block but she’s ok with game type sanctioned fighting…

Just thinking out loud here…He said TN, right? That’s about a days drive. Long day but doable.

Whether or not he managed to punch me in the face, he’d still be WRONG and rather stupid. But then only stupid people make veiled threats like that when they have political aspirations.

They only work if you really are willing to follow through…I’m not gonna read his blog because I don’t feed trolls like him and beesforbrains anymore but you can tell him he has some potential takers ;-) It’d only be really funny if he DID take up the gauntlet, anyway. Get his ass handed to him by a diabetic cancer survivor that’s slightly overweight. I’d enjoy it. Some people might buy tickets. We could do a benefit to buy guns for poor people or something…I’m less full of shit than him because I had my colon removed in ’08 and don’t have much place to store shit anymore.

    Logistics wouldn’t be complicated.

    This dude?

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

That’s funny. Even funier, I met most of his living listed heroes when I used to do sound for SXSW festival gigs. I’m cooler than him, smarter, and I can kick his ass!

Still be fun if he’s up for it. See if he can “punch me in the nose” or not.

    Thomas,

Please make sure that you express yourself carefully. I understand where you are coming from in wanting to see if he can live up to what he says. Dad’s old line about the mockingbird mouth and alligator arse comes to mind.

But let’s make sure we don’t slip into the territory of making threats. I don’t think your words so far have gotten there, but just asking to keep that clear sharp line.

I think people who are willing to make threats like he did are not usually up to the task of taking on someone like you…or even (especially) your sister. I might pay to watch the exhibition match.

It’s not a threat to offer to meet a person at a sanctioned gym for a tournament. I thought I was quite specific, as above. I wouldn’t meet anybody outside of a gym on purpose because you’d be walking into a set up to get sued. We’d need a real contract and it would have to be a real refereed match up.

I was not one bit joking. I also wasn’t going to get sued or do anything criminal as I’m not keen on either of those words.

FWIW: Sis would be funnier. Hell, I can’t even get a hand near her face without her hand(s) wrapped around my wrist and I’ve known her for the better part of half a century and them both being democrats would be even funnier. I should call her and see if she would go for it. ;-)

    Thomas,

I hope that I was clear that I didn’t think you were making threats but just wanted to be very clear you weren’t when you say things like that.

I don’t want any of my friends to be accused of making harassing or threatening statements; even it was because someone couldn’t clearly understand.

You’ve proven over and over again you’ll stand up for what is right and you’ll do it legally. I don’t want anyone being able to point to any comments that might damage that reputation.

Thanks for breaking this news, and feel free to use any of the screencaptures I have at your own discretion. Much though they might like it to, this is not going to go away.

  9. Posted by Thomas on 11.01.10 at 2:16 PM

No worries. I wouldn’t walk into anything without it being fully legitimate as
A: you could get sued or
B: you could get bounced by the dude and all his buddies (possibly even with guns).

Contracts and lawyers would need to be involved. Even if it was just arm wrestling, truthfully.
    Better safe than sorry.

  10. Posted by Thomas on 11.01.10 at 2:16 PM

Hell, — C) You could get bounced by the dude and his buddies with guns and sued and he’d have more witnesses…

I had a feeling that those two would eventually realize that they had gone too far and, in response, delete posts and comments. Too bad Google Cache doesn’t forget, right? My latest blog post includes screen caps from Google Cache if anyone’s interested.

[...] That’s what I thought.  I mean, this this totally unexpected, and I never saw it coming.  I mean, they totally stood by their posts, right?  I’m just glad that no other anti-gunners act like this, and happy that actions like this aren’t entry #6 on a list published almost a year ago. FYI being a good sport I continue to read SFL’s blog. (Kinda rude to go in there and harp on her gun stuff, and forgo the rest…I’m no one-trick pony!) And I gave a comment on my support of the California case on Gay Marriage.

She left it in moderation overnight and deleted it sometime this afternoon.

I guess that’s how they roll. Very “Progressive” of them.

I went to check his blog, and it has disappeared entirely. Must be still hoping for an electoral run. Good luck with that, Sparky.

Just noticed that myself, Peter. Wow. Memory Hole indeed.
