    Set a time limit, then embrace it. Feel free to let it wash over you and wallow in it with absolutely no guilt at all. Don’t struggle against it. Let it have its way.

    When the time limit you’ve set (hour, day, week) expires, put your boots on and walk away from it – no exceptions.

    It may not work for everyone, but I’ve sure found it helpful over the years. I used to immediately try to bootstrap and struggle whenever I got down in the dumps. Then I realized that sometimes its healthy and natural to get blue. That’s why it happens to pretty much everyone.. If you’re a grinning, cheerful idiot all the time, one morning you’ll look in the mirror and see Richard Simmons staring back at you.
