A Spot of Trouble

Here in the “Metroplex” (DFW area) — some severe weather –

Video below the fold (For some reason it messes up the layout if I don’t put it below the fold)

Please click to watch, the videos are worth it.

Those are semi-trailer rigs being tossed about at the 1:27 mark.

My daughter’s place isn’t very far from the damage shown in the video above. In fact, her place is visible in the shot at one point.

Power is still on at Bunker BS and no reports of damage from Daughter and our neighbor.

Take a look at the damage, at the destruction, at the infrastructure taken down; is there any doubt that the people affected need supplies for a couple of days or more? That they shouldn’t be on the look out for looters?

Folks, it isn’t paranoia when there is a reason for your preparations. Emulate the Boy Scouts – “Be Prepared”

I live in south east part of Dallas, the bad weather missed us, just got some rain.

I was sitting in the Dog Truck on the leeward side of a bunker looking restroom area at a city park (just in case) as the storms came through. The two main tornado bearing cells slid right up either side of our area and we threaded the needle so to speak. Just a lot of heavy rain and a bit of hail. This may be the impetus to get me to finally build the fema shelter at the house.

    Paladin & Stepinit,

Glad to hear you folks had no problems. We had no problems here at the Bunker other then lights flickering a bit.

I’m also strongly considering a shelter Paladin — this happens often enough that we could use it.
