UPDATE — Sorry folks, but this rifle has been SOLD.

Thanks for stopping by.

Not mine (I am not fortunate enough to own one yet and probably wouldn’t sell it if I did) but posting this for a friend of a friend — Here is an image from his Photobucket account.

I’m going to sit down and grit my teeth until the urge to buy that goes away.
$900 is not a bad price on that rifle.
Please tell me it has already sold to a good home so I don’t damage my pearly whites.

    — This comment is for Southern Belle — KX59, please do not read this part.

Belle, the rifle has not sold that I know; please buy KX a biteguard or kindly inform him of the status so I’m not responsible for his dentition.

KX59, Please talk to Belle :)
But I know the feeling. I would buy it but I emptied the gun fund recently.

Oh, why must I always be broke when something like this comes along?
If he has it in a couple of months, I’m all over it.

    James,

If he has it in a couple of months, we might be in a bidding war. It would be a great compiement to my ‘arsenal’ of Mosin Nagants.

No worries, Bob, I’ll just start flashing various AR related parts to distract you, and buy the svt after you’ve been blinded by rail mounted accessories.
Now, concentrate on the swinging pocket watch, and when I snap my fingers, you will say the word “picatinny”.

    I just heard from Mark.
The rifle is sold. Sorry guys…

That stinks but probably saves my marriage a little grief. Trying to justify the purchase would have been — a stretch.

Glad he got it sold and hope it went to an appreciative home.

Well, he says it went to somebody who saw it here.

So we may end up seeing it at the next DAB.

IIRC, Bob mentioned Memorial Day Weekend…something about coinciding with his birthday.

    Bob?

Glad I picked up mine when I had (pre-ban (1)). They were only going for $295.00 then, with original mag. I also picked-upped a Russian SKS at the same gun show for, if I remember correctly, $110.00. Purchased a lot of ammo as well and was all had for well under $500.00. The first rounds I put down range was standard ball at 200 yds off a sandbag. Groups were to point of aim and were about 6″. I was pretty impressed. Not with the rifle, lol, with me. Out in the woods the silver tipped rounds went through a 3/8″ steel plate like butter. If you are lucky enough to get your hands on one, hang on to it, I’m going to.
